MAKE IT CONCRETE
Rebranding an organisation whose content is entirely visual presents a challenge: how to avoid a clash of style. Andrassy Media’s proposal was to look beyond the gallery’s exhibits to the exhibition process itself, shifting attention from the art to its curation.
By bringing this normally hidden activity out onto the surface of the brand we would then be able to make visible the curatorial process which shapes ‘raw’ artistic material into meaningful exhibitions.
So instead of developing a corporate colour palette, we proposed a palette of physical, tactile materials as a concrete corollary of this process.
This series of A6 postcards made of perspex, wood and aluminium were designed to send out to gallery supporters to mark the launch of the new brand.
